This month we focused on a very simple but effective clearing technique, called the 4 R’S.

If you have had a busy lead up to the festive season and you find it hard to find the time to unwind, this short practise will prove invaluable. Whether you find yourself stuck in traffic, queuing in shops, trying to reach a deadline at work, stop for a moment and have a look at your thoughts and how they are making you feel…(overwhelmed and stressed most likely). This is when we focus on the feeling and if possible, release it gradually and return to the present moment, hence restoring our energy.
Our drive to succeed can come at a great cost to our well-being. We yearn for simplicity but struggle to find it. We ache for balance but can’t sustain it. There is no time to juggle it all, let alone clear ourselves from what causes us to feel so overwhelmed. Most traditional, linear methods for clearing do not make room for the feelings that come up as we clear, our fight-or-flight response, nor recognize the energetic impact that our thoughts have on our health and well=being. Used at regular intervals during a given day this technique teaches you that you are in control not your thoughts and emotions, and when brought back to the present moment their impact can be diminished or even gotten rid of completely.
