Edits and reruns January 2021
Hi everyone,
I hope you enjoyed your Christmas even if it was a quieter one. Christmas can be a nostalgic time steeped in traditions bringing with it a welcomed familiarity, comfort even. This call to home and hibernation is further encouraged through the media even the Christmas cards we get, by the use of such imaginary as blazing log fires, twinkling lights on the tree and snow scenes. For so many Christmas is about spending time with family and catching up with old friends. Many travel long distances even across time zones to be at home with their loved ones at this special time. However, Christmas 2020 was like no other and many traditions that were once held true dissipated under the restrictions on travel and the amount of people allowed into our home at one time
We have moved into a new year and so far, not much has changed in our outer world. But if 2020 has taught us nothing more than this…a lot of what goes on in life is beyond our control, all we can control is how we react to the situations that occur in it.
So what if, instead of making new year’s resolutions this January or setting goals with overly high expectations for yourself, you use this time to edit your life.
To begin editing your life, simply think about your positive and negative experiences. When you determine what parts of your life are no longer serving you, make the commitment to remove them — though, it is important to remember that there is no proper timing or way to do this, patience and compassion for yourself are always important during this process. Then, ask yourself what has brought you profound bliss and consider how you can make those experiences and beliefs part of your life now. With a little editing, you’ll be able to clear out what is no longer serving you and make room in your life for more happiness, love, and new experiences
Granted, editing your real life isn’t always as easy as erasing a line of text. If you’ve carried emotional baggage or held on to an unhealthy relationship for a long time, these may be difficult to edit out. But when you do cut out what isn’t working from your life, you’ll feel lighter and more alive. Editing out activities that you find stressful, disassociating yourself from people that drain your energy, and letting go of your emotional baggage are all beneficial cuts you can make. In the empty spaces that are left behind, you can add in anything you like. Just as you have the power to edit out negative situations or beliefs that you no longer wish to have as part of your life, you can now include the kinds of positive experiences, people, and beliefs that you would like to fill your life with. The manifestation of these thoughts and images as realities in your life will inevitably follow. As you make changes to your life, you can also add in the bits where you choose more intimate, healthier relationships, seek out adventure over tedium, and are no longer negatively impacted by old experiences.
Many of you will have watched re-runs of your favourite movies over the Christmas period and no matter how many times you may have watched them the impact of their message can land at a deeper level So in order to help you with the process of editing your life I have plucked 8 short videos from the archive on my website (re-runs for some of you!) which highlight areas you might like to explore such as energy, thoughts, beliefs and conditioning before making the necessary edits. I will post up 2 each week for the next 4 weeks to keep you all going..
