Hi everyone, Hope you got a chance to get out into the beautiful sunshine we have been experiencing for the past few days, it defiantly puts a spring in our step!! The vitality of the sun certainly lifts our energy as we move towards longer brighter days. Life energy flows through us like a swift stream when there is nothing to obstruct it, but various forces such as trauma, downbeat vibrations, and disappointments act like stones that impede the flow. If we allow these to pile up, our life energy is thrown off its course or blocked entirely, causing… READ MORE
Hi everyone, And once again we find ourselves embarking on something new. A new year!! Beginnings can be a beautiful thing, but at the same time, starting something new can sometimes feel scary. There is always the possibility that we won’t succeed at the thing that we are trying. The start of a new year can traditionally be wrapped in new year’s resolutions, goal setting and detoxes of all kinds (food, drink and certain people !!) if however (due to the pandemic) you feel like you have been adapting to something new for the last three years this concept can… READ MORE
Hi Everyone, It’s with a certain sense of achievement I find myself feeling as I write this letter …that sense of ‘Phew, we made it’. There’s no doubt about it but it has been a turbulent year with many highs and lows and again it is how we view it whether it has been a struggle or something you are willing to accept and move on from. In even the most difficult of times, the Buddha taught that it’s possible to experience more happiness and less suffering, even if nothing in your life changes on the outside. The answer lies… READ MORE
Hi everyone, I hope you are keeping well at this time of re-emergence, and I know from talking to a lot of you that there are certain things you once did (be it because of commitment or simply habit) you are slow to pick back up or perhaps you that you have created some boundaries around yourself, which is perfectly understandable given what we are all living through. I was reading this article about how in order for a tree to grow it is necessary for it to shed it’s bark which has served to protect it, but now is… READ MORE
Hi everyone, Hope you are enjoying our new found freedom and getting a chance to catch up physically with family, friends and activities that have been missing from our lives for so long…a well-deserved treat! And as the pace of life begins to pick up it’s only natural for us to feel obliged to accelerate with it, maybe even over committing ourselves to a point where we may feel stretched and overwhelmed. When we do this, we can find ourselves cramming as much activity as possible into the shortest periods of time disregarding our natural rhythms and fall out of… READ MORE
Hi everyone, Hope you are enjoying being out and about as further restrictions have lifted and the weather has improved. What a year it has been for us all so far, so much has happened in terms of the various themes we have experienced from creativity -where we converted our homes into a space for work and /or to home school, to coming up with inventive ways to meet up with friends and family outside, while staying safe… all weather picnics. Another theme may have been around readdressing our values and what we view as important now as we re-emerge… READ MORE
Hi everyone, I hope you are enjoying the easing of restrictions and the sense of liberation that comes with it. I managed to get to the sea on a few occasions for a very quick dip ,it was very cold but invigorating !! During the various lockdowns my mind slipped into that old pattern of feeling stuck while my spirit or soul showed me ways to feel totally free. I couldn’t work in the same way which gave me the opportunity to explore the beautiful countryside and walks around where i live. I grew up in the country and lived… READ MORE
Hi everyone, I haven’t sent an email in a while as home schooling has been top of the agenda in our house for the past few weeks. Easter holidays are here now with a much-earned break. Spending so much time with my daughter and her home schooling brought me back to my own childhood and how important breaks and having fun are. So, on St. Patrick’s Day (which was unseasonably warm this year) I headed down to our local river for a picnic and a paddle. Sitting on the mossy bank, feet dangling in the icy cold water with… READ MORE
